The Chakra and Essential Oil Index

Mar 6th, 2010 | By Dee | Category: Aromatherapy, Energy Medicine

This is a general index of the chakras. The essential oils suggested can be used in aromatherapy, massage, baths and other therapies.

1 – Root chakra

The Root chakra is about being physically present. Feelings of stability, safety and stamina are held here. This is the foundation chakra and is the first chakra of the system. When the root chakra is open we feel present in the here and now and feel that our physical space is sufficient, respected and connected to our physical body.

If the root chakra is closed we are insecure. We may be paranoid, fearful, and full of hatred and anger. We may be overly possessive. We may have low blood pressure, circulatory and sexual dysfunction.

Essential oils to help open the root chakra are vetiver, peppermint, frankincense, cedarwood, myrrh, carrot, cardamon, clove, oakmoss, patchouli, laurel, ginger, sandalwood and benzoin.

2 – Sacral chakra

Everyone Can Heal

Aug 12th, 2009 | By Dee | Category: Energy Medicine, Featured Articles

Touch is the first tool we turn to when confronting pain. We react similarly to a stubbed toe and a broken heart, tenderly grasping the affected area. This need to apply physical contact is part of the innate healing instinct present within each of us.

We are all born with the ability to heal ourselves and to heal others. Because healing energy does not come from within but from outside our ourselves, the energy is there for anyone to use, and thus no formal training is required.

When you have the intent to heal and love is your only motive, you become a conduit for healing energy. Through the simple laying on of hands, you can direct that universal healing energy in order to comfort those who are experiencing pain or distress.

Balancing Body Energy

Aug 10th, 2009 | By Dee | Category: Energy Medicine, Featured Articles

The energy of your body will not be balanced and free flowing if you do not have good emotional balance, good physical health, and good relationships with your surroundings and yourself.

Almost no one is ever perfectly balanced. If you could do this, you would be able to rise from the dead, have a body transformed into a cosmic molecular structure and commune with the gods as an equal. Don’t despair, this has been done.

Begin at the beginning. Get to know the feel of your partner’s energy. Use hand-to-hand and switch hands to see if you can tell the difference between polarities. Touch energies (not bodies) and move within that energy to learn its character.

When you’re satisfied or have given up, or see the raven hanging around, run the full-body test. Get as naked as both of you comfortably can, and use your hands to test and map the energy of your partner. If you want, draw out a figure and mark bad spots so you can remember later. Got them? Front and back? Good!

Chuck Ross is the concept which refers to a wheel like object that, according to traditional Indian medicine, are believed to exist in the surface of the double man. This is the force center or energy from a point on the physical body.

Practitioners of acupuncture, and she opts to focus on balancing her radiance that are an integral part of the chakra system. Individuals who practice Hinduism, Tantric, Buddhism, Bon, and Chinese medicine are all familiar with how chakra inter-relates to their specific practices.

The easiest way to explain a chakra is that they are energy centers located at different spots on the body. Each center has a specific function and practitioners believe that to be healthy the energy Center must have a flow of energy that is clear and balanced between all of the chakra. When there is something out of alignment the flow isn’t proper blocking other centers to function properly.
